So I’m from Jamaica we just recently had a category six hurricane and half of the island was hit so where I was had a lot of damage. Most of the power lines were down so there was no electricity for two months so I purchased this back in November and I just recently received it not because of the shipping but because of the shipping company that I use. I received it on Monday and I started using it Monday night so this is my fourth day using it and it’s really good. It can power my TV ,my small portable fan. Charge my tablet my laptop my phone it is value for your money?

Good battery life, easy to use. The build quality is somewhat concerning, the outlets don’t work perfectly, they always need some form of adjustments and you may need to be careful while moving the plugged-in devices (it will stop charging them easily). We needed also a replacement for the first unit because one of the outlets was just randomly work and not, the second one was better but still requires cord adjustments to work properly. On a bright sunny day, the solar panel is life changing, with clouds, you will need to plug-in the portable power station to the car or a socket.

We used this model for the first time during our annual Christmas golf cart parade in our neighborhood. We had about 8-10 sets of lights and a blow up decoration with a fan. They all ran for 4 hours straight and there was still 51% battery left. We love this thing. Much easier than trying to use a battery and inverter!

This generator is super quiet and is great for stuff like your iPhone or computer, but it’s better to spend a few extra bucks and get the one with more wattage so you can use your air fryer and fancy coffee machines. I upgraded mine so it could keep my 55 gallon and 10 gallon fish tank tanks heater and filters running for a couple of days instead of a few hours when there is an emergency power outage…. Spend the extra money it’ll be worth it. Very portable and it has a very solid good weight to it. You can just feel the quality..

Update.. the charger has held a 96% charge for 24 hours without use so that is a very good sign…

I bought this because it said it was good for a CPAP machine. Unfortunately it lasts less than 7 hours with just the machine plugged in it and nothing else. I did some research and switch to a 12 volt plug-in and we can go a whole night sometimes 9 hours with remaining power left in it! Don't go to a higher power just for a couple hours switch to a 12 volt plug it, works perfect! You do however have to buy that separately.

It charges very quickly through a wall outlet or a 100 watt solar panel. I bought an aftermarket solar panel that works great with it. This is something I bought for power outages and to maybe save a little money by using the solar panel and charging things off it. It can run a blue ray player and 32 inch TV for many hours. I also used it to run my Sega Dreamcast and an old 13" CRT TV which only pulls about 55 watts combined. I give it 4 stars because it seems to drain too quickly when using an LED light bulb.

Overall a great product. 4 starts because i just discovered a bug (not sure if just ui or actual hardware issue) where when switching from charging via usb c to discharging via usb c, the ui still thinks it's charging and the wattage going out is displaying as going in, this would likely reflect in incorrect battery capacity display.

Great little power bank. Have used this for 6 months no problems for charging and running a small air compressor, drills and more.

Easy to use and small enough to bring anywhere. Charges pretty quick other than the last 1% may take foreverrrrr.

It’s light weight. It won’t run my hair dryer with heat as the power output was too much but it does have an automatic shut off that enables if the jackery has too much power is being output.

Case is durable and could take a little abuse.

I do like this as you can charge the jackery with an external battery and extend run time with the right extensions using the dc plug in. That gave it the 5 stars for me.

I had been eying these generators for a time for emergencies and camping, and I finally pulled the trigger and got the E300 Generator|100W Panel combo as it was on sale. The reason why I got this this one over some of the larger Watt-hour generators is that where we are in Denver—we don't lose power much. And in regard to camping, my wife and I are on the minimalist side of things— so charging our phones, a camera, some handwarmers, a this and a that—and maybe powering a light or two—a fully charged E300 will be more than enough energy capacity for 2-3 days out in the woods. Plus, the E300 is light—weighing slightly over 7 pounds—so it should be a non-issue hiking that into a campsite.

It arrived at my door with a little less than half a charge and only took 2-3 hours out in the Colorado sun to top it off. The attached pictures were taken at 2pm and show the solar panel outputting 72W***. I WAS expecting a little bit more output—being a mile up in Denver, CO and all—but I'm not complaining. Perhaps I could have fluffed with the angling of the panel more?

***Was able to hit 98-100W the next day

The manual/instructions are clear, and the generator and solar panel are very user-friendly. I can't yet comment on the E300's longevity as I've just gotten this, but I will update in the future. It is recommended in the manual NOT to output while the generator is charging, as it may damage battery life. But a cool thing is that the solar panel's cable comes with a couple of charging ports—so in a pinch you could charge something directly from the panel while the passthrough continues into the generator.

I am very happy with this purchase, and I cannot wait to take it camping!

I bought this a little over 2 years ago to power my telescope mount and accessories. This has been the best battery I've found. Relatively light weight and will run all night long and still have power to charge my ipad, iphone and iwatch. I love it so much I got the 1000v2 however I still default to this one due to the weight. For longer trips I'll take the 1000v2, but for shorter trips, the 300 is always with me. The only negative I've found is trying to charge it from a solar panel. It has a finicey charge port and doesn't work with most 7909 plugs. It does fine with the included wall charger, but the 7909 plugs on most solar panels won't make a connection. I finally found an adaptor that fits an 8020 connector (which is what the 1000v2 needs) and it's charging fine now. But I had to buy several before finding the right one. If it wasn't for that - 5 Stars all the way.

I got it thinking I could use an emergency power station and it can be charged using solar panels. The pure sine wave was the selling point for charging my laptop. It has an USB C, now considered standard - HOWEVER, I can't seem to get it charge my Anker 35W, INUI powerbank 45W, SKIL 20W battery - they all seem to hook up to provide INPUT to the power station, I can't get Jackery to OUTPUT to them, somewhat disappointed as everything I owe now is USB C input. I have no problem using USB C 60W cable to charge those powerbank, but they are just not as fast - output about 17W. no problem with my cell with USB C as output. I like the display that tells you how much W is coming in and out. good size. I had charged it using solar panels and it worked. I have yet to use it in emergency situation but have tried quickly using it to test out most of the features. I already have solar panels on the house, so it is actually more work to take this out to bake in the sun to charge but this hold charge and the solar panels on my house go to the grid. I want to use this to power an camera in the wood, but I have to find a way to protect it from the rain next to try it out because a 10000mAh power bank was not able to keep the camera running for more than a day. So at the end, it would be great to tell it to OUTPUT using USB C because it is useless for me for my powerbank.

This review is for the Jackery Solar Generator Explorer 300 with SolarSaga 100W solar panel.
I bought this because I needed a solar rechargeable device to power my CPAP machine. The Explorer 300 meets my needs. I tested by charging the generator to 100% using the household 110V AC and included adapter - the generator charges very quickly. I plugged my CPAP into the 12V DC cigarette lighter socket using a prescribed 12V DC adapter for my CPAP (no sense wasting a lot of battery capacity by plugging into the 110V AC outlet on the generator). I used the CPAP, normally, overnight (not using the power-sucking humidifier) and the Jackery battery capacity dropped from 100% to 66%. This means I can use the Jackery to power my CPAP for two nights - excellent! In the morning, I charged the Jackery with 100W Jackery solar panel. It took about 2.5 hours to charge the generator from 66% to 100% - excellent! I also tested the 110V AC outlet on a laptop and it worked perfectly. NOTE: This model does not contain the Bluetooth feature - you would need the Explorer 300-Plus that has Bluetooth in order to use the Jackery App.

I am writing this for those of us who know little to nothing about electricity, batteries, watt hours, amps, volts, etc. and who mostly wish to use this battery with their CPAP. I have both the Resmed Airsense 10 and the Airsense 11 CPAPs. I bought the Jackery Explorer 300 which comes with the lithium ion battery and puts out 293 Wh (watt hours). (There is a newer model which comes with a Life0P4 battery, and costs more. The LiFe0P4 is supposed to be a safer and longer-lasting battery, plus that one comes with a flashlight built into the battery.)
Back to the Explorer 300 with the lithium ion battery which I just bought. It comes with two different charging cords, one to plug into your car's cigarette lighter, and the other to plug into your home's AC outlet. It also comes with a helpful instruction guide. It tells you what percent of battery you have available. Mine arrived at just 49% so I charged it up to 100%.
I used it last night with my Airsense 11 and I did not have the heat or humidity turned on. That makes a huge difference, or so I'm told. I simply plugged the CPAP into the AC input on the battery, and I pushed the AC button on the battery to turn it on. My CPAP started pumping air after just a couple of seconds.
According to the CPAP, I slept for 8 hours and 7 minutes at a pressure of 12. (You can look up your pressure number on the CPAP machine.) According to the battery, I have 49% left, so I used 51%. So, if I'm calculating this correctly, 51% of 293 Wh = 149 watt hours used, and I slept about 8 hours, so 149/8 = 19 watts per hour. That's the average watts of battery I use with my Airsense 11 CPAP, at an average air pressure of 12, when it's plugged into the AC input of the battery. It probably wouldn't last for two nights because the battery will shut itself off before it runs out of juice as a protection measure.
Now here's an important thing to note. I haven't tried it yet, but I asked the Jackery customer service people if I would get more Wh of usage if I plugged into their DC input instead of the AC, and they answered that yes, most definitely I would. Amazon sells a Resmed Airsense 11 DC converter for $36.99 which should allow one to plug their Airsense 11 CPAP into the DC input on the battery and get an extra day or two of battery life.
Finally, why did I only give this a 4 star? Well, there are many other competitors out there and some offer more features, such as a flashlight on the battery. I definitely miss that! I will say that the Jackery Explorer 300 does have some up-to-date USB input and output slots for phones. And their customer service is okay, although it appears that the only way to reach them is by email. I didn't see a way to call them. They also have a 2 year warranty on this battery which, if you sign up as a Jackery "member," they will give you one additional year of extended warranty. So their warranty is better than the other 300 watt batteries I've seen on Amazon. By the way, if you purchase the battery from a brick and mortar store such as Best Buy, you have to upload pictures of your sales receipt and such. Filling out their warranty application is a pain, and their web instructions as to where to find the model number is not correct! (It's on the box, not on the battery itself, as the instructions say.)
All in all, the Explorer 300 works well for my main use -- my CPAP. I think it would also work well enough for the Airsense 10, although that CPAP uses a higher wattage. You just have to be sure to turn off heat and humidity in order to make it through the night with either of those CPAP machines.

Living in 3025, I'm using my new Jackery 300 w/ solarSaga 100 to power my Starlink Mini. I'm sending this review using Starlink wifi and only the power pack to do it all. I was only using the power pack, let some of the power drain, which took some time to go down, then plugged in solar panel, and battery is back up charged. Maybe 20 mins last 5%. I am glad I purchased this set up. I'll now be able to use wifi basically anywhere.

Updating to 4 stars because someone from the company did reach out and try to make it right. In the end this product is not the one for me, but I think this is probably a safe buy for the average guy looking for some power on his camping trip to charge mobile devices.
    ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Not sure what happened here. Other people love these and swear by them; I must have gotten a dud. The capacity I am seeing on the unit I received is less than half of what they claim. Hooked up a good known load to the unit and was only able to draw a measured 184wh out of the device before it was empty. Overall quality seemed good, and I would have kept it had the unit I received had it gotten close to the stated capacity. Sadly, it must go back

This Jackery Solar Generator 300 with the SolarSaga 100W panel is a fantastic purchase!

It's compact, charges quickly via solar or AC, taking about 4 hours for a full solar charge. The 293Wh capacity is perfect for camping, road trips, and powering essentials like phones, laptops, and even a CPAP during outages.

It's quiet, lightweight, and incredibly easy to use. The solar panel is efficient and portable, and the pure sine wave output keeps electronics safe. Highly recommend for reliable, off-grid power!

I was surprised at how fast it went from 100% to 83% after running 2 tiny camping fans for less than 2 hours. Wish I had gotten a larger capacity, as I go camping in areas where I simply cannot set up solar panels to keep the juice flowing. I was afraid it would run out of power on me during my 5 night camping trip, so I haven't been able to really test it out for battery life. It will probably be sufficient for a 2 or 3 night trip, but I would recommend purchasing at least a Jackery 500 if you are going to use it for much while camping and are unable to utilize the solar panels for recharging.

The Jackery Explorer 300 has exceeded my expectations! I bought this portable power station for camping trips and emergency backup at home, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite gadgets.

It’s lightweight and easy to carry, but still packs plenty of power. I’ve used it to charge phones, run a mini fridge, power a fan, and even keep my laptop going during a short outage. The multiple ports (AC, USB-A, USB-C) make it super versatile, and the display is clear and helpful—it shows input/output wattage and battery percentage at a glance.

Charging it with a wall outlet or my solar panel is quick and convenient. It holds a charge really well too, which gives me peace of mind knowing it’ll be ready when I need it.

If you’re looking for a compact, dependable power station for camping, road trips, or backup power at home, I highly recommend the Jackery 300. It’s well-built, easy to use, and totally worth the investment.

I bought this little solar lithium generator because my neighborhood is undergoing several electrical replacement projects, some requiring power to be off all day long. I wanted something to keep my modem running, so my phone, laptop and doorbell camera could still be online.

This Zackery Explorer 300 passed this first test drive today with flying colors. It powered my modem for over 6 hours, more than expected. And, if I don't have the modem plugged into the Zackery, I could go without power for much longer ... good to know. I don't have the solar panels for charging, but the car charger will be great in emergencies.

I ordered this Zachery because I had heard so many positive comments about the company and their products. If I could afford a bigger generator, it would be awesome, but this one fits my tiny retirement budget.

Item was purchased after a power outage in my area left me without power for over 12 hours.
Item is for at home use only to run a small portable fan* (see photos) and charge small electronic

I have a booth at a Farmer’s Market, this is the 21st year my wife and I have been doing this. When we first started
I kept track of our sales in a notebook.
For the past several years, I have used a laptop to record our sales, and now I use an iPad. With both, I had a problem keeping the laptop and then the iPad charged.
Our Farmer’s Market lasts for four hours on Saturdays, and I use the E300 to power my iPad, a Square card reader, a video camera, and calculator.
Instead of worrying about loss of power, at the end of the Market Day, my Jackery E300 still has 84 to 87% of power left.
Buying the E300 solved that problem so well, I bought another E300 in case of a power outage at home.

Explorer 300. I bought this to use as an UPS (Uninterupted Power Supply) for my modem and computer but it turns out that it is not meant for this purpose.

Once I received the battery the Instructions told me that: “Yes, the Explorer supports pass-through-charging. But we don’t suggest, it will cause damage to battery life”. I am using it for this purpose anyway, for 2 months now, and it is working while plugged into a household 120V power outlet. The charger supports only somewhere around 75-90W so I assume that drawing more power than that constantly would eventually deplete the battery. The modem and computer draw 40 to 50W while on. Using it this way the battery charge level will falsely show that it is slowly going down to 1% and stay there, but if the Display button is pushed for 2 seconds (which turns power off) it suddenly jumps back to nearly full. Based on the instructions a 60W appliance will be powered for 4.5 hours in case of a power outage, but I have not tested this.

In addition, the Explorer cannot turn itself on, so I have it on all the time. But it “turns itself off automatically in 12 hours when being drawn under 10W power”. Because my modem draws only 9W that happened once, and my Wi-Fi went down unexpectedly. When I leave my computer on in sleep mode it adds another 1W and the battery stays on permanently. I will probably replace it with a dedicated UPS battery and just keep using the Explorer as a mobile power source.

I also own an Explorer 1000 v2 which is suitable for pass-through-charging and the low power turn off feature can be disabled.

I purchased this as a back up for my CPAP, I don't sleep well without it and we have had multiple power outages. I finally got fed up with not sleeping during outages. This battery pack 100% does what I need it to, it powers my CPAP and charges up assorted phones and tablets. My only complaint is that I had planned to keep my CPAP plugged into this device so when the power went out in the middle of the night I would already be good to go and not wake up gasping for air. Unfortunately, when keeping my CPAP plugged in at all times, the battery "turns off" on the port it is plugged into. This causes me to have to remember to turn it on every night before I get in bed. 9/10 times I forget and had to get back out of bed to turn it on. I finally unplugged my CPAP from it, I'll plug it in when the power goes out!

This is a fantastic portable generator. I got it for RV living but I also like to use it where power outlets are not readily available (like a certain gigs with my band or charging my phone at night when there's no outlet near the bed OR as a lyft driver to accommodate multiple passengers).

Using only my cellphone I can get a charge rate for it of about 24w on avg (booklet says only 18w) from the USB-C and so far a Max wattage of 30w for the solar panel (solar saga 100) to charge up. Hoping to increase that with better angles and conditions but very happy with that as a wall charge is 80w.

Also not sure why people are complaining about the charge rate. Perhaps they need to adjust angle and taper expectations on speed....it's FREE energy. 30w is freaking awesome. You could watch TV with that...and I see no issues with it charging over 50%. See my pic above. That stated at 85% and I'm currently at 89% after 20-30 min.

I bought this because I live in FL. I wanted it to use for charging my phone or using small appliances in the house instead of having to hook them up to the gas powered generator. For that it is great. Easy to use. Compact.

What I'm put off by is solar powered is written everywhere... in the product headline in this listing, on the actual packaging, even on the plastic protection sticker covering the display on the item itself..... yet it doesn't actually come with a solar panel. It does come with regular power cord for wall and car. The solar panel is another $140. Yes the listing says it's optional but just feels like if your going to sell a solar powered generator you should include the solar panel.

I am keeping it since I can charge it off my big generator but for those of you thinking it's a good deal for solar powered, just know it's an extra cost

Teh USB stuff was simple, it had not trouble running anything. Then I hooked up a 20 inch box fan running on high pulling 44 watts and it ran for over 4 hours. The shadow target helped but as you can see the panel wasn't positioned perfect. With the sun overhead I just laid the panel in the sun and it was charging at 88 watts. When plugged into 110 the unit only chargs at 78 watts. The 12 watt draw you see is from a vehicle fan plugged in the 12 volt outlet running on high.

The props on the back of the pamels may be OK but I can see them wearing out over time. The magnets used to close the panels are great. The LCD display is exactly whats neede as well so there's no question as to what is going on.

Taking this camping on an island with plenty of sun is going to be great.

One thing to note; when you are charging, either with 110 or the solar panel, somewhere after it reaches 90% the input watts will start dropping. When the charge reaches 100% the input watts will be 0. Keep that in mind if you're using the input watts display to position the panels. When I first hooked up the panel the battery was 98% charged and it only registered 20 watts input making me think it wasn't working.

I purchased the Jackery 300 to power my Cpap machine on stormy nights. The power is notorious for going out here. Purchased it June 2, 2022. Not quit 2 years and its already shot! Will not recharge. The picture shows 100% and I have reset the display. Soon as you unplug it, the display goes blank. I am looking to replacing it with something else. Very disappointed it didn't last any longer than that!

UPDATE!!! I have changed my review from a 1 star to a 5 Star! After I contacted Jackery they were more than pleasant to deal with. I videoed the machine and how it was not charging. They sent me a return label,. I sent it to them, and about 3 weeks later I have a brand new jackery 300 in the box! I am very pleased with this company!!! you can't ask from more than that!!

This is the type of item that is just helpful to have around. It preserved our sanity during an unexpected drive down to Florida after our flight was canceled. It kept tablets, phones and a switch charged during our camping trip. I charge it up just in case when they're calling for bad weather and there's the potential for a power outage. A simple thing like keeping the sound machine/nightlight on for the kids can go a long way. It also comes in handy when there's not an outlet in reach, but you need one. I picked up their carrying case (sold separately), which has more than enough room for the power station, cords and a device or two. I also added one of their Solarsaga 100X solar panels.

Display is intuitive, charge time with both the car and wall adaptor is reasonable and its output has been great. Having it has been a convenience that was worth the investment, and it has exceeded my expectations for how often it has proven useful.

When we got the box, you could tell it was clearly opened previously bc the sticky part of the tape was dirty and it wasn’t that sticky. Once opening it you can see that the front is scuffed up and dirty. The rubber padding on the bottom was dirty and there was hair on it. There was some weird T-Mobile thing in the box, too, which clearly didn’t belong in there.

Everything that was supposed to come with it was inside the box, along with an extra plug that I have no idea what it is for since it is not shown in the instruction book. (Another thing returned by the previous owner I assume)

We turned it on and it was charged up to 100%. So far we tried using both normal output plugs and they worked. I haven’t tried the smaller outputs yet.

It is kind of disappointing getting something that was previously used and returned for the price that I paid. I am hoping it will last awhile and wasn’t returned because of being faulty.

If anything happens with its usage I will update this and change the stars if needed.

This battery is a good size and weight. It's very portable for car camping, obviously too heavy for most backpackers. It would be invaluable in a blackout.
It charges my phone, iPad and laptop. The laptop seems best charged with my car charger plugged into the cigarette lighter out, it gets fluctuating wattages if I use the USB c charger. I'm pretty sure that's just a problem with my old laptop. I haven't used the AC charger on my laptop yet, I expect there will be a big loss in efficiency stepping up to 110 volts AC and back down to DC.
There's a new model out that has some advantages and some tradeoffs. I'm going to compare the two but I expect I will keep the new 300 Plus.
Two USB C ports will be more useful to me than two AC outlets.
Still, there is nothing at all wrong with this one.
I will update if I keep this one and take it camping or lose electricity.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Jackery Portable Power Station Explorer 300, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. This compact and versatile power station has become an essential companion for all my outdoor adventures and emergency situations.

First and foremost, the Explorer 300 delivers an impressive amount of power. With a capacity of 293 watt-hours and a pure sine wave inverter, it can handle a wide range of devices, from smartphones and tablets to laptops, cameras, and even small appliances. I was pleasantly surprised by its ability to charge multiple devices simultaneously without any loss in performance.

The design of the Explorer 300 is sleek and compact, making it incredibly portable. It weighs just under 7 pounds and features a convenient carrying handle, making it easy to transport wherever you go. The durable and rugged exterior ensures that it can withstand the rigors of outdoor use, whether you're camping, hiking, or engaging in any other off-grid activity.

One of the standout features of the Explorer 300 is its versatility. It boasts multiple charging options, including a 12V carport, AC outlet, and three USB ports. Additionally, it supports solar panel charging, allowing you to harness renewable energy and stay powered up even in remote locations. This flexibility is a game-changer, as it provides a reliable power source for extended periods without the need for traditional outlets.

The user-friendly interface of the Explorer 300 deserves special mention. The informative LCD screen provides real-time data on battery level, input/output wattage, and remaining runtime. It also features a user-friendly power button and simple controls for adjusting settings, making it effortless to operate and monitor.

One area where the Explorer 300 truly shines is its impressive battery management system. Equipped with advanced safeguards, such as temperature control, voltage surge protection, and short circuit prevention, it ensures the safety of your devices and the power station itself. I felt confident using it to charge my delicate electronics, knowing that they were protected from potential harm.

While the Explorer 300 is undeniably powerful and reliable, it is not completely silent. The built-in cooling fan can be audible when the unit is under heavy load, although it is not overly disruptive. However, it's worth noting that the noise level is far outweighed by the unit's exceptional performance and capabilities.

In conclusion, the Jackery Portable Power Station Explorer 300 is an outstanding power solution for those who require a reliable, portable, and versatile power source. With its impressive capacity, multiple charging options, and robust build quality, it offers a seamless and worry-free experience for outdoor enthusiasts and emergency preparedness. If you're in need of a portable power station, the Explorer 300 is a worthy investment that will undoubtedly exceed your expectations.

Works great with Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset. I completed using the Jackery for day five and still have 38% power left - four days at 7-7.5 hours, one day at 9.5. My CPAP settings are 8-16 for the air pressure. So here are the tips for extended use. I tested one night using the normal electrical outlet plug and it drained 28% power in one night. This is very inefficient, because it has to convert DC to AC power, and then your Resmed adapter has to convert it back to DC. Avoid this by buying a car charger adapter made specifically for your resmed that plugs into the DC car charging port on the Jackery and then into the back of the Resmed. Resmed sells a version and it is quite expensive or you can buy a quality aftermarket like the KFD DC Adapter Car Charger for Resmed S10 available on Amazon. Other reviewers mentioned this charger and I can confirm it works well. Using the KFD and after recharging the battery again, I'm using around 11 % power for a typical 7-7.5 hour night. This is phenomenal. The second major tip, and one that enables this, I don't use a heated tube and humidifier. Resmed makes and you can buy an endcap that takes the humidifier out of the picture. Look up Resmed 37303 or 37335 end covers. I never use the humidifier and heated tube but if you do, you can temporarily choose not to use them when on battery power to maximize your battery use. Just remember to buy the end cover. Finally, you must remember to hit the switch next to the port to turn it off immediately when done or it will continue to bleed power whether you are using a powered device or not. The green light centered in the switch button next to the specific port should be off after using!!!! Overall, this feels like a quality unit. Time will tell whether it holds up. Another reviewer mentioned that they have used a somewhat new battery manufacturer for this particular unit, so the jury is still out on reliability but fingers crossed that Jackery hasn't jeopardized its stellar reputation by trying something new at a better price point that sacrifices quality and longevity. Ratings for this on Amazon have been high so far, so that is encouraging. I'll update if needed but I'm impressed so far! And never again will I have a horrible nights sleep without my CPAP.

For anyone thinking of buying this Explorer 300 for a CPAP sleep apnea machine, you won't be disappointed!

I've been tent camping more and at our home my electric provider has been shutting off power at night for maintenance or wildfire prevention (SoCal) so I've been searching for the best battery pack for my CPAP but also for any other devices I may want to power.

I read reviews on many CPAP-specific battery packs, and they were all around the same cost as this Explorer 300, but much less versatile for powering other devices. One benefit to some CPAP specific battery packs is that they are TSA/FAA approved for commercial flights, however, that was not one of my requirements.

I have the ResMed S9 AutoSet with heated breathing tube set to 80F (Climate Control) and H5i humidifier, and without changing anything on my device, beside the power cord (see below), the Explorer 300 shows I use ~40w when I first put on the mask to go to bed. I saw other reviews state to disable the heated tube and humidifier, but for my initial test, I didn't want to turn these devices off, as I really enjoy sleeping with them enabled.

From reading other reviews, and from the ResMed website, most recommend using the DC car power adapter when powering the S9 from a battery pack, as it's more efficient and will use less power in this configuration. ResMed sells a DC car adapter for a much higher cost than other companies, and many reviews recommended what I ended up buying, the KFD DC Adapter 3 Pin Jack for 90W Resmed S9 from Amazon.

So last night, with the Explorer 300 fully charged, I switched my S9 to the KFD DC adapter and went to bed with the Explorer 300 powering my S9, and after 7-hours asleep, I woke to happily discover that not only did the Explorer 300 still have power remaining, but it only used 20%! There are obviously other variables for each individual, such as what pressure your machine runs at, the surrounding temp/humidity, etc., however, even with these other variables, to me the Explorer 300 is an incredible buy as I now know it can easily power my CPAP machine through multiple night's sleep!

I first came across Jackery power stations while shopping for Anker products. I ignored the temptation for a very long time, but after holding off for months to a year, I finally decided to get one. However, before I did, I researched power stations, compared the many different brands, and read many, many, many (and did I say many?) reviews. In the end I decided on Jackery. At that point it was just a matter of deciding which one was best for me. I finally settled on the Explorer 300, took the plunge, coughed up the funds (it is a bit expensive), and bought it. Not being a camper I got it mainly for road trips to visit family and for power outages at home. I ordered it on March 28 and it was delivered on March 31. The first big plus! It came charged to 40%, and using the AC adapter AND the 60W PD USB-C port simultaneously, it charged up to 100% in no more than 2 hours. I tested it using my Galaxy S22+, Samsung Tab S6, a small desk fan at the same time and the draw was very small. Piece of cake with icing for the E300. Second big plus!! Then I simulated a power outage in my apartment. I pulled a plug on a SimbR 3-way extension cord with two JACKYLED 2-tier power towers plugged into it. They power my printer; smart TV; sound bar; a Lasko tower fan; a digital clock; DYNATRAP ultraviolet bug trapper; Alexa Echo and speaker system it's attached to; a small portable radio; a Baseus wall charger I use to charge my S22+, Tab S6, and small, personal desk fan; and a Fitbit charging pod. I turned on the E300, plugged the SimbR with the two power towers attached into one of the AC outlets and a standing 3-way lamp into the other. I plugged my S22+ and Tab S6 into the two USB-A ports. The E300 handled everything (the lamp and both fans on HIGH) like a pro. Bring it on power outage! Third big plus!!! I'm sold! Jackery is now my "go to" brand for power stations. Saving up for the SolarSaga 100W solar panels and the 240/300 Travel and Business Carrying Case Bag. In the future I will definitely consider purchasing one of the bigger power stations (if I win the lottery I'll get one of each including the E2000 and SolarSagas for each one!). Russ n Jack, bros foerver!

Several users wrote about using the 300 for a mini fridge or cpap. But the user manual that came with unit seems to indicate that the 300 CANNOT be used this way.

Instructions (if you can call it that) on how to use the power station say to make sure it's charged then "turn off each output..." Obviously you're going to have a lot of difficulty using this product if it's OFF! And that's it...that's all the Instructions on how to power anything with this product. The rest of the manual is specs, charging instructions, funky Q&As, warnings, more warnings, and then more warnings, and marketing messages.

We have used this product for 7 months now. We bought it for camping but it’s become a tool for so much more. Running a fan all night long in a tent while charging lights, phones, and batteries. It fits perfectly over the transmission tunnel in the back seat of the Jeep and provides additional power for rear passengers. It’s also been great for power outages at home. My only complaint is that I should have purchased the 500. However, this one does everything we need it to do currently.

Unlimited power. I can charge all my digital devices using the Jackery 300 with a Jackery solar panel. I have the 60w and 100w Solar Panels and while the 100w will help you maximize solar absorption while charging other devices, the 60w will get you by. If you get 80w from the sun with the 100w Panel, you will gret 40w from the 60w panel in the same sun. You will never get 100% efficiency rate with either panel. Most I’ve ever gotten with the 60w is 51w of solar so just keep that in your back pocket.

Only giving 4 stars because of the complete lack of responses to my emails to hello@jackery.com. They claim to respond to this email but I have sent 3 positive emails at different times this year none of which were responded to.

Also giving 4 stars for the lack of a DC extension cable for the solar panel and lack of a temperature controlled charging case/bag. Yes they sell a bag for storage but not one you can keep the battery in while cables are plugged in and it’s being charged or charging. Ironically the panel has to be in the sun but the battery itself should not be as it needs to stay cool or it might explode. A longer dc extension cable and charging case are two obvious solutions to this problem neither of which Jackery has seemed to invest in.

I do like Jackery but there is definitely more “meat on the bone” that the company is currently not offering. They used to have smaller powerbanks as well that they no longer sell and that’s a real shame as it would just add to their solar battery charging system. In my picture I have a mophie battery, but I also have multiple Anker power banks I charge using the Jackery 300 and these are mainly what I use to keep my devices powered. I also have eneloop Rechargable AA and AAA that I also power with the Jackery 300. With my current setup I can offset most of my power needs to solar.

I will be purchasing bigger batteries and bigger solar panels in the future and may continue to stick with Jackery. But if another company introduces a more well rounded Apple style charging system I will have to switch to that because it doesn’t seem like Jackery wants to interact with their customers other than share photos of people using their solar system on instagram (which just helps them advertise their products it doesn’t help their customers at all).

But if you are reading this Jackery this is what I want:

    -Solar Panel DC Extension Cable
    -Jackery Temperature Controlled Charging Bag/Case
-Revamped Jackery 100 (smaller like the Anker powerhouse 100)
    -Smaller Jackery Power Banks (10k, 20k, 30k)
-Jackery Rechargeable AA , AAA, 9V batteries with chargers
-More accessories (usb to dc cables, 12v to usb, 12v to dc, jackery breakout box)
    - A jackery charging guide that shows you what you should be able to charge with each unit rather than trusting their infographics which are hard to understand

Some of these do not need to be first party but they do need to be at least recommended by Jackery or made to fit jackery. I just believe by having a wider expanse of accessories to fill more needs would help the Jackery company make more money while at the same time help move more people over into solar power for basic needs.

Ordered on Monday, Amazon Prime Day, paid $209. What a great deal! The box was delivered to me two days later on Wednesday. Came perfectly packaged with the AC wall power supply and a 12 volt cigarette lighter power supply. Out of the box it was charged 74%. Fifty minutes later it was at 92% using the AC wall charger. Took it outside and topped it off while charging from two Renogy 50 watt solar panels in parallel with an 8mm adapter to the Jackery input. Charges as advertised! I have a Yeti 400 (lead acid) portable battery pack which is cumbersome at 29 lbs. This Jackery 300 (lithium) which weighs only 7 lbs., is so much easier to grab and move from room to room or outside. Have been relying mostly on a Bioenno lithium 160 watt hour battery pack (pictured) and accompanying 28 watt solar panel that I’m very happy with. Weighs only 3.5 lbs. but wanted to increase the watt hour capability. Almost doubled it with the Jackery 300. The Jackery will now be used to charge various Yaesu and Icom HT rechargeable batteries, Bluetooth speakers, Bluetooth earpieces, iPhones, iPad, iPod, rechargeable aa/aaa batteries, emergency weather radios, and a few small hand sized battery packs that my wife and I keep in our vehicles. With a lifespan of 500 full cycles (to 80% capacity) if I recharge it an average of twice a month it will last 20 years! A very handy piece of gear, especially having the capability to use solar panels or a vehicle to recharge. Will see how it holds up compared to the Bioenno lithium battery pack. I’m very optimistic about the Jackery brand.

So far I am very impressed with this product. It arrived with around 46% charge and I was able to charge it to full in a little over an hour using the included AC adapter and a 60 Watt USB-C power delivery charger I have for my Surface Pro 7.

The main reason I purchased the product is to power a CPAP, which it did very well. Some reviews had mentioned CPAPs, but the product information did not. The actual product documentation that arrived did estimate 6-21 hours for a CPAP with the Jackery 300. My limited testing with a Phillips Dreamstation CPAP on 11 with no humidifier indicates quite a bit longer. With the normal AC adapter it should run about 34 hours (see table for details). With the Phillips DC cigarette lighter power cable, it should run around 60 hours. Either way it should be able to power a 8-10watt CPAP without humidifier for a number of nights.

The 60 watt power delivery port was able to charge my Surface Pro 7 from 26% to full fairly quickly while it was still being used. It was pulling 40-50 watts easily until it was recharged again (a little over an hour).

The 18 Watt QC port worked well to charge my Samsung S9+ via a wireless fast charger as well.

I then powered random things throughout the house to see how many watts they pulled and to drain the battery some more before charging and storing it. I may need to check out some of their larger products, but I might wait until they get 60 watt power delivery as well. That was a very good feature and could be very useful during rolling blackouts to charge it before power goes out again.

The Jackery Explorer 300 is your perfect companion, whether you are camping, using the two AC power outlets for a small refrigerator and charging laptop to work remotely, or having a laid-back movie night in the park.  The Explorer 300 is the sweet spot of portable power on the market.  The design makes it light but powerful to run and charge various electronics, lights, and small appliances.

Many have talked about how it is a great accessory while camping, which I will say will be my main use of the product.  However, the other evening I gathered a small group of friends, and we headed to our local park to enjoy a social distanced movie night.  The Jackery Explorer 300 made this more than possible while being easy to transport with a sturdy handle.  As you can see in the photos, the setup consisted of a 40-inch flat-screen tv, a Firestick, Bluetooth speaker, mobile hot spot, and of course, the Jackery Explorer 300.  Once everything was in place, the multiple output ports on the Explorer 300 gave us the flexibility of the devices that we could use and still have an open AC and 12v outlet handy in case of need.  Once everyone was settled in their chairs, we powered up the electronics, and for the next two and a half hours, we enjoyed a movie in the park, all powered by the Explorer 300. When all was done, we still had 40% of the charge remaining in the Explorer 300.  I will say the uses for this device are almost infinite; from camping, movies in the park, and the occasional need to charge my cell phone, the Jackery 300 can be used in every situation.

I have had many smaller battery backups and chargers in the past, but what I like about the Explorer 300 is the device's flexibility and being lightweight.  Carrying it to and from the house and the car is easy.  The flexibility of outlet types meets every situation. Two AC outlets are great on the go, along with the 2 USB Type-A and one USB Type-C outlets.

I would recommend the Jackery Explorer 300 to anyone who wants reliable power in the woods or the city.  I next would like to explore the Jackery SolarSaga 100W Portable Solar Panel.

The Jackery 300 is a great addition to any household and or offroad camping set up. I have already used the Jackery for many situations in which it has worked flawlessly. The small size and nice package/weight make it easy to handle. It also has an easy to use and understand LED screen which means there is no need to flip around in a manual and try to translate lights and blinking things. I have used the Jackery in a storm where the power was out and water was flooding my basement. I was able to simply plug a sub pump into the Jackery 300 inverter and pump the water out within 30 mins saving the day. This may have only used 5% of the charge. I purchased the Jackery after doing research looking for a power source that had a regulated 12v plug to run a portable refrigerator for overland travel. This unit allows for charging while in use which is also very important. My 12v refrigerator is a cheaper unit but the Jackery does a great job and can keep it running for a day and ½ without charging. So if you're on the move driving or you add a 100w solar panel I think you will be fine for the entire weekend. If you want longer run times and you are more base camped without any power then you might want to upgrade to the Jackery 500. I also have a dual battery system in my Land Cruiser and I can tell you for the cost of this unit compared to the complexity and cost of a true dual battery system this is a no brainer.

I have had my Jackery 300 for over a month and have had the opportunity to run several test with it. Those tests are listed below:

    1. Solar Charging, I have charged my Jackery 300 5 different times using my SolarSaga 60 panel. I have seen peak charging of 44 watts. Each time it charged in less than 4 hours. Several times I did pass through charging, that test was the SolarSaga 60 plugged into the Jackery 300 which had a Jackery 160 plugged in or some other device. That test work great as well. Solar Charging with the Jackery 300 has been fantastic.

    2. DC Devices, I have used my Jackery 300 to run my Alpicool refrigerator for 1 solid week as a refrigerator and one solid week as a freezer. The Jackery 300 lasted 2 days 9 hours as a refrigerator and went from 100% to 21%. I then plugged my Jackery into the wall AC charger and pass through charging worked with no issues after about 6 hours (could have been faster) the Jackery was back to 100% and ran the refrigerator off of only the Jackery. On freezer mode the Jackery lasted 1 day 16 hours, at which point I plugged the Jackery 300 into the AC wall charger. 9 hours later the Jackery was fully charged, (I fell asleep so I am really not sure how long the charging took.) I also did a solar pass through test with the freezer. The Jackery 300 battery was at 34% when I plugged it into the SolarSaga 60. Pass through charging worked great, and 8 hours later the Jackery was charged to 100%.

    3. AC Devices, I have ran my Traeger Tailgator for 6 hours off the Jackery 300, I made Chicken Thighs and Steak. I have run a Crock Pot with the Jackery 300 for 3 hours, I then had to plug the Jackery in to the AC wall outlet. I ran a Crock Pot via the Jackery 300 fully charged plugged into the SolarSaga 60 for 7 hours then the Jackery ran out of Battery and could no longer run the Crock Pot on Solar only. I ran two large AC Window Fans for 9 hours on the Jackery 300 and still had 22% battery. I have had not issue running small AC appliances.

    4. I have used all USB ports at the same time, and made sure both AC and DC passthrough charging worked with no issues. USB is fantastic.

At this point I would highly recommend the Jackery 300.

The Jackery 300 is personally my third lithium powered generator that I’ve purchased from Jackery. It is mid-sized in my collection that also includes the Jackery 160 and the Jackery 500.

True to form, this portable power station provides quick, reliable power that I can take just about anywhere I need to go. It can be charged by plugging it into a regular wall outlet, or if you’re on the road you can plug it into a cigarette lighter with a 12 V adapter that comes with the Jackery 300, or you can charge it up using my favorite method; solar panels!

Over the years I’ve gotten into me batteries quite a bit. And I’ve always had a knack for green energy. So with the offering of these Jackery products, I started the initiative of charging these portable power stations using solar energy. That way anything I charge from these Jackery power stations will in essence be getting power from the sun. This includes my electric lawnmower, my electric bicycle, my 18 and 12 V power tools, and other gadgets that I have. Jackery’s light weight and convenient built-in handle allows me to take the power station wherever I go so I can really capitalize on both harvesting energy and passing it on to other batteries and electronics.

Furthermore, the Jackery 300 comes with a number of power port options. 2 AC outputs(300W/peak 500W), 60W PD USB-C, QC3.0 USB-A, USB port & 12V car port. In my video I test this portable power station out by using all but one port at the same time and it does a fantastic job! All that solar energy being passed on to other appliances and batteries. It’s a dream come true!

I also found out that you can charge the Jackery at the same time that it is being used to charge other appliances which makes its versatility an absolute premium.

The Jackery 300 is the latest high-quality product put out by a company that is committed to providing premium products for portable lithium battery power. This was my third purchase and now I am three times as happy. It’s portability and versatility make it a must have for initiatives both home and away, and does so in a safe and environmentally friendly way. Two thumbs up!

I'd have to say. This thing is being used a lot more than I intended. From camping trips to daily use at work. I am a construction worker(electrician) . So often times, believe it or not. We work with no electricity. Since we turn everything off to be safe. So this little thing can power anything from a portable clip on lamps to a small fan to help light up and cool down hot electric rooms. The job I am on right now is a ground up job. Meaning it's nothing but dirt. All the old power we ripped out. So the only power on site are the spider boxes(corded power) connected to the utility. They're not convenient what so ever. These boxes are left in certain areas 100+ feet from each other. Rather than pull 200-300 feet worth of extension cords just to power up something small. I can use this power station. And if you're a construction worker. You know some knuckle head is going to unplug your cord to plug theirs in. Now you have to hike 100 yards to go plug it back in. I use this to charge stuff daily like my radio and head lamp at the end of the day. Saves me from hauling my tool cart which is a solid 80 pounds over ruff terrain just to get to a power box. And with only 1 microwave for 20 guys at 2 minutes each. It's almost pointless in waiting to heat up your food. So this little jackery is wonderful. I can plug in my 12v food warmer and get nice hot food prior to start of lunch.!!!! I am able to charge my ear buds daily. The solar charger would be real useful where I'm at now but that'll be for another day and I will update my review if I ever get it. For the price of this unit and how convenient it makes my daily life. I think it's well worth it. Kinda wishing now that I would've spent the money on a bigger unit so I can power certain corded power tools. But that was never my intentions . Definately a game changer and I'll probably never use my portable power bank I built out of a deep cycle battery and inverter ever again. That thing weighs 75lbs. This baby is maybe 5 lbs. I forgot to mention how much my wife loves this as well. She is able to pump (breast milk) anywhere anytime. We camp often. And rather then running the car and pumping for 30 minutes. She can pump right by the lake. All while watching the kids!!!!! I see myself upgrading in the near future.

Attached are a few photos of my food warmer set up under my took cart. A photo of my job site so you have an idea of how much distance I have to go without power and how much of a life saver this is. And some voltage readings. The volt reading is well withing range for 120v electronic. I had an inverter recently that I my have me 120v. Your house sockets normally I my gets you 116 give or take 1 or 2 volts.

Excellent battery for on-the-go and emergencies [Update 1/28/2021]

[Update: Jackery announced on 1/28/2021 that the updated Explorer 300 can now be charged through the 60W USB-C PD and be used in parallel with the 90W AC wall charger. This provides for a combined input of 150W, nearly cutting the charging time in half!]

Back in April, I purchased the Jackery Explorer 1000 and the Goal Zero Yeti 500x later as a result of 2019's fires. Coincidentally, this year's fires on the entire US west coast is actually WORSE with new records broken! I cannot stress how important it is to be prepared for emergencies, and with a baby and young boy in our household, I wanted to ensure we have a crucial refrigerator running to store milk, medication, and whatever else we needed.

There has been an increase in people taking emergency preparation more seriously.

I had since invested in several car freezers (favorite is the Foho 34qt BCD-32) as part of my emergency toolset. When Jackery announced the Explorer 300 (E300) with a special launch price and some improvements over the Explorer 1000 (E1000), I jumped on it for one simple reason: my little boy loves camping, and I wanted him to have a mini-Explorer of his own (actually, I wanted another backup battery, but don't tell him that.) Literally, the E300 is a mini version of the E1000, and it looks awfully cute to have my son and I stand next to one another holding our own Explorers!

Right off the bat, the two models are very similar to one another, and so I will be re-using much of what I had already written for the Explorer 1000. The E300 is the direct successor to the company's Explorer 240 model.

    CELL MANUFACTURERS
Today's devices use Lithium-ion (Li-ion) and Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) cells so they can pack more power in a smaller package and weigh less. However, Li-ion (which the Jackery is made with) also is more volatile whose risk increases as more cells are packed together. The quality of the battery cells and the BMS (Battery Management System) are crucial for safety.

    - Battery storage capacity is measured in Wh, and power output is in W (Watts)
    - The higher the Watt-hour (Wh) capacity rating, the more dangerous the battery could become if not handled right

Battery cells made by LG and Sony are among the best in the hobbyist world as are Sanyo/Panasonic, Samsung, and BAK Battery. Jackery Explorer 1000's batteries are made by LG and BAK, but the E300's are by EVE Battery. I do not have much information about the new, publicly-traded manufacturer's safety record, however, but going by Jackery's track record, they likely would not have selected a poor company to provide fuel cells for their power stations.

During my years of research, I found that use of lower-quality batteries could pose a serious risk to life and property and should become a crucial part in deciding what to buy.

    IN A NUTSHELL
Jackery Explorer 300 is a relatively light power station with a professional-looking exterior and flashy, orange color scheme, and is backed by a company that appears, from the stories I have read (and personally experienced), to take customer service seriously. The batteries are made by a manufacturer I do not know much about, but their weight is an indicator that they are likely good quality. The 300W of energy (and peak of 500W) provides enough power for a small amount of electronics and small appliances, such as a laptop, television, mini fridge, medical device (like CPAP), and car freezers, but will NOT work for most rice cookers, and definitely not for a vacuum, water boiler, or circular saw.

Like the bigger E1000, the hard, plastic material used to help shed weight (and cost) could be prone to cracking from hard falls or bumps, potentially exposing the Lithium-Ion batteries to puncturing. The fixed carry handle unfortunately cannot be folded, making it not ideal for packing things on top.

Functionally, this is an excellent, portable power station with a multitude of AC and DC outputs, is solar charging capable with MPPT built in, and has a battery management system (BMS) to help ensure safety. Equally important is its verified claim of a pure sine wave - not modified - AC Inverter to produce clean electricity for sensitive electronics. Like Goal Zero Yeti 500x, Jackery finally upgraded the E300 with a USB-C PD with a 60W output. The E1000 only produces 18W. This makes it very useful for charging supported laptops.

Jackery is one of Amazon's top sellers in the portable power station category with good customer service and reasonable prices, and as this is no longer my first experience with their products, I have no hesitation to recommend its latest product.

    PROS
    - At 293 Wh capacity, it is an improvement over its Explorer 240 model and falls in-between Goal Zero's Yeti 200x and 500x capacities
-- Capacity to power a 30" LCD monitor and Mini PC for 3-5 hours, a Toshiba 50" Fire TV for almost 2.5 hours
    - Pure Sine Wave AC Inverter capable of continuous 300W power (and 500W peak) - More details later
    - Very well-priced at $349 at launch
    - Can power AC and DC (USB/12V Car adapter) at the same time (as long as they draw less than 300W combined)
-- Laptop, tablet, phones, lights, fans, CPAP medical device, projector, TV, mini refrigerator, speaker, camera, DSLR battery charger, and SOME rice cookers
    - USB-C PD port outputs 60W
    - Can be used while charging
    - Faster charging with MPPT controller (Maximum Power Point Tracking)
    - Informative LCD with LED backlight
-- Total power coming in (via solar panel or AC adapter)
-- Capacity left (as a percentage)
-- Total power (AC and DC combined) being used
--- Suaoki G500 displays the Wattage separately for DC and AC, which I prefer
-- Unfortunately, estimated hours to full charge or empty is NOT shown
    - BMS provides built-in overload, overcharge (automatically stops charging when the device is full), and short-circuit protection
-- Multiple fans to keep the station's temperature safe
    - VERY compact at 9.1" x 5.2" x 7.8", though the higher-capacity, slightly larger Goal Zero Yeti 500x is still my favorite for its size and capacity
    - Portable at just 7.1 lbs
    - Bottom is well-protected by bright-orange, non-slip feet
    - Carry pouch included to hold AC charger and cables
    - Cigarette socket cable included
    - Unexpectedly good customer service
-- Technical support was excellent in answering all my questions
    - 2 year warranty
    - Clear, well-written manual, though details were scarce
-- Goal Zero's manual, on the other hand, is VERY detailed and helpful
    - Company is based in California

    CONS
The E300 shares almost all the same design problems I disliked about the E1000, but also adds some improvements.
    - Batteries are not made by a globally well-known, Tier 1 manufacturer
-- My unit came with fuel cells by EVE Battery, a China-based, publicly-traded company
    - No Anderson input port for solar charging
-- You charge with an (optional) Anderson-to-8mm converter cable instead
    - Fixed carry handle cannot be stowed away
-- Makes it difficult to stow things on top at the back of a trunk
-- Upward-curved top (underneath the carry handle) does not allow small items to be temporarily stored on top
    - Hard, plastic material makes the power station lighter, but could be prone to cracking from hard falls or bumps
-- Given that Lithium-Ion batteries become more volatile as capacity increases, one should handle the product with care
    - Although the exterior looks very professional, once I saw the Goal Zero Yeti 500x, I fell in love with the Yeti's design
    - Power buttons can be accidentally turned on/off through a single press (ie. while packing away your camping gear)
-- Can lead to accidentally turning on/off the output during transport
-- May unexpectedly find battery fully drained when you need it
-- Suaoki requires you to hold the DC or AC button for 2 seconds before it turns on/off that output, helping to minimize accidental presses
-- No automatic power off once no power is drawn/station has become idle
    - AC power brick is flat and large
    - No built-in flashlight or SOS signaling that the E1000 includes
    - Display is not as informative as I'd like
-- Only shows battery charge level, input and output wattage, but no estimate of time remaining to full charge or to empty
    - Multiple fans turn on during high peak and can be too noisy for some
    - Battery cannot be replaced. This can lead to unnecessary landfill waste
    - Cannot be daisy-chained to other Explorer 300/1000's to extend battery capacity
-- Some Goal Zero stations can be hooked up to other ones so power can be provided for an even longer time without needing to switch
    - Not waterproof. Keep it away from water splashes, rain, and pool!
-- Lithium and fire or water can cause serious damage or injury!
    - No master power off button to turn off ALL outputs at the same time
-- You have to manually switch off each type: DC, AC
    - No carry bag for the power station itself is included
-- BUILT Willis 11" Insulated Lunch Box (ASIN: B08D6VMGG1) fits the E300 perfectly well (with usable pockets) when the Jackery is put on its side

    INPUT PORTS
    - 1x 8mm
    -- Accepts up to 90W
-- Max 12-30V and 8A with no minimum wattage
--- WARNING: Do NOT use a power source/solar panel that exceeds 30V or 8A!
---- Be mindful that solar panels that are daisy chained in sequence/series may output more than 30V combined!
-- Can be used for solar charging
--- MPPT charge controller is built in
    --- I recommend using a panel that's between 30W – 100W at 18V (with the right Amps to equal 100W)
    ---- If you attach a 120W solar panel (with 12V x 10A = 120W), it will charge at only 90W
--- I did not test solar charging as California is currently blanketed by smoke from the massive fires all over the west coast
--- Jackery SolarSaga 100W charged the Explorer 1000 at an excellent 69-88W of input. I expect it to be similar with the E300

    OUTPUT PORTS
    - 2x AC with 3 prongs (120V)
-- Inverter can handle a continuous 300W, peaking at 500W. More on that later
    -- Pure Sine Wave Inverter
--- Ensures clean power to protect against damage to sensitive electronics
    --- Generates less heat
--- Note: Some manufacturers claim to be Pure-Sine when they are actually Modified or Square Waves
    - 1x Cigarette socket (12V, max 10A)
    - 1x USB-C PD (5-20V, max 3A, max PD 60W)
-- PD (Power Delivery) allows a device to be charged with up to 60W through the USB-C interface
    - 2x USB-A (5V, max 2.4A, max 12W)
-- One of them is a QuickCharge 3.0 for rapid charging of compatible devices

    USAGE
    - To turn ON or OFF the Car/USB (DC) or AC outputs, press the corresponding button
-- Note: This single-press (without hold) can lead to accidentally turning on or off the power station
    - To reset an Error condition that's shown on the LCD (ie. AC port is Overloaded), turn OFF the respective AC or DC output, and back on
    - To reset the Explorer, hold the DISPLAY button for 10 seconds
    - Li-ion batteries have 500 charge cycles before capacity drops to about 80% from when they were new
-- Product could, in theory, be charged up to 2,000 cycles — about 1/4 of total capacity is lost every 500 cycle
    - Unlike LiFePO4 batteries, Li-ion can operate only in temperatures between 32-104F (0-40C)
-- Jackery's Battery Management System (BMS) prevents:
    --- Recharging in temps outside of 32 - 95F (0 - 35C)

    --- Outputting power in temps outside of 14 - 104F (-10 - 40C)
    - Battery, like all Li-ion, slowly drains over time even when station is powered off
-- Could take 1-1.5 years to go from full to empty

    CONTINUOUS VS PEAK OUTPUT
The Explorer's AC Inverter provides a continuous output of 300W with a peak/surge of 500W
    - AC Inverter: Component responsible for converting battery (DC) power into AC for use by electronics
    - Continuous Output: As long as a device (or combination of multiple ones) does not exceed 300W, it can be used
-- Example: A TV that uses 100W can be used because it is less than 300W. You can add more devices as long as they do not exceed 300W combined
-- Example: A miter saw I have uses 1,800W, and because it exceeds 300W, it cannot be used
    - Peak/Surge: Almost every device temporarily draws more power when it is turned on. The highest amount it pulls during that time is the Peak/Surge. This Explorer can accept up to 500W
-- Example: A TV that uses 200W (continuous) may temporarily suck up 400W (peak) when powered on. Because 400W is less than 500W (peak), this battery will allow the TV to turn on at that level for a few seconds (any longer, and it might cut power as a safety precaution). After a few seconds, the TV then only uses 200W (less than the continuous 300W limit) until the battery is drained
-- Example: An unusual device that uses 250W (continuous) and surges to 1,500W when powered on would instantly be shut off by the Jackery. Why? Even though the device uses just 250W while already on, it jumps to 1,500W when powered on, exceeding the 500W surge limit of the Jackery

    CALCULATIONS
The below calculations are rough estimates as conditions, quality, and product age can vary.

    CHARGING TIMES
    - Wall charger: 4-5 hours
-- AC adapter was observed to provide 76W when charging level was at 37%
-- AC adapter will gradually charge slower as battery reaches full capacity (for safety reasons)
    - 100W solar panel: depending on weather conditions, it should take about 5-6 hours. I could not fully test this because the smoke from the California fires is blocking the sun
-- WARNING: do NOT connect panels sequentially or you may output too much voltage and fry the power station! Connect them in PARALLEL with a Y-Branch cable
    - Goal Zero Yeti 500x can combine its 8mm and USB-C PD ports for a total input of 180W. Neither the E300 nor E1000 can combine both inputs

HOW MANY WATTS DOES A DEVICE US?
    - Calc: Watts used by device = Voltage x Amperage
    - If a vacuum is 120V and 9.5A, it uses 1,140W

If a device draws more than 300W for an extended period of time, the power station will shut off as a safety precaution. This can also shorten the battery's lifetime

HOW LONG CAN A DEVICE BE USED FOR?
    - Calc: Hours available for device = Battery capacity (Wh) x 0.85 / Watts used by device
-- Generally, about 10-15% of power is lost during power conversion
    - If a device uses 60W, it could last up to 4.1 hours (293 Wh x 0.85 / 60W)
    - Amazon TV I have uses about 100W
    -- If battery is full at 293 Wh, TV could run about 2.6 hours (293 x 0.9 / 100)

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHARGE A DEVICE?
    - Calc: Hours to charge device = Device's battery capacity (Wh) / Input Wattage
    - If a laptop accepts 60W of input and its battery capacity is 200 Wh, it could take 3.3 hrs to charge (200 Wh / 60W)

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHARGE THE EXPLORER 300 WITH SOLAR?
    - Calc: Hours to charge battery = Battery capacity (Wh) / (Panel Wattage x [0.5 or 0.75])
-- In a perfect lab environment, solar panels charge at the indicated wattage (ie. 150W)
-- Expect to only receive 50-75% on a good, sunny day (ie. 75W - 113W), depending on environmental conditions, panel's age, and component quality
-- Tip: Even if it is overcast, the panels will STILL collect solar energy. Keep charging!
    - If a solar panel is rated for 100W, it could take as fast as 3.9 hours [293 Wh / (100W x 0.75)] to charge

HOW DOES ITS CAPACITY COMPARE TO POWER BANKS?
    - Calc: Powerbank-equivalent capacity (mAh) = Battery capacity (Wh) / Voltage x 1000
    -- 1 Ah = 1000 mAh
    - Explorer's 293Wh at 3.6V is roughly a 81,389 mAh powerbank (293 Wh / 3.6V x 1000) or a 27,129 mAh at 10.8V

    TIPS
    - Always test your devices with the power station before you depend on it on the go
    - Lithium-ion batteries are volatile
-- To minimize fire damage to your belongings or loved ones, store the power station in the garage and not inside the house. Best storage is a dry, cool place, however
-- You cannot bring a battery of this capacity on a plane
    - With the right BMS, quality batteries, and other factors, the power station can be stored in the car while camping during a hot, California summer
-- Keep the battery out of direct sunlight. I usually store it on the floor of the car and crack open the windows a tiny bit
-- Do not USE in the car if temperatures fall below or exceed the battery's rated, operating temperature (32-104F or 0-40C)

Keep your car cigarette lighter with the power station -- you could plug it into its 12V DC socket for starting a camp fire

    - If using a car charger, make SURE you only charge this station while the car is RUNNING. Otherwise, you'll deplete your car's battery and leave you stranded
    - If charging with a solar panel, be sure to keep the station out of direct sunlight as it could overheat
-- A solar panel is NOT required to use the battery
-- Explorer 300 uses the MPPT solar charge controller
--- Smarter, more efficient/expensive than PWM
    --- Suitable for larger systems
    - Can be used and charged at the same time. Manufacturers’ recommendations for their own products:
-- Yes, that’s fine: Goal Zero, Jackery, Rockpals, nrgGo
    -- No/Not advisable: Suaoki
    - NEVER charge the power station itself in below freezing temperatures, or you will damage the Li-ion battery AND potentially limit its overall capacity
-- You CAN use it to power OTHER devices because the generated heat will warm its battery enough to be within operating temps
-- At below freezing temps, keep it in an insulated cooler and connected to a power source (ie. solar panels). The heat generated by the battery will keep it running as best as it can
    - Turn off any output ports (AC/DC) that are not being used in order to conserve power
    - Do not use any power station in a tightly enclosed area as it can overheat
    - To prolong the battery lifetime while in storage, keep the battery fully charged every 3-6 months
-- Or, according to customer support, keep it plugged in when not in use and discharge it to 50% every 3-4 months
-- NOT using the battery for a very long time can actually hurt its lifetime
-- There is no "memory effect" in this station's battery. It is better to NOT let it completely drain

    FINAL THOUGHTS
The Explorer 300 is another winner for Jackery in that it has made several improvements over its older, bigger brother, the Explorer 1000. I was disappointed to find out that its batteries are made by EVE Battery, a Chinese, publicly-traded company I have little knowledge of. The Explorer 1000, on the other hand, used either LG or China-based BAK Battery, both of which are excellent manufacturers. The company has shown time and time again that it takes customer service VERY seriously, and to me, that is a major plus. The 300W of energy (and peak of 500W) provides enough power for a small amount of electronics and small appliances, and is the perfect size for my little boy, the fellow explorer and camper.

The hard, plastic material commonly used by power stations to help shed weight and cost (just like the E1000) could be prone to cracking from hard falls or bumps, and as such, this product should be handled with care - a puncture of the Lithium-Ion batteries could cause severe harm. The fixed carry handle unfortunately cannot be folded, making it more difficult to pack things on top.

Jackery is one of Amazon's top sellers in the portable power station category with good customer service and reasonable prices, and if the new EVE Battery manufacturer proves to be as reliable as other Tier 1 makers, I will have no hesitation to recommend its latest product.

If you are looking to power phones, laptops, drone batteries and even your mini fridge this unit will work great. The size is lightweight and easy to carry. This unit charges extremely fast in a matter of hours on AC charger or you can power it going down the road with your car or truck. I plugged it into my Jackery solar panel and it charged quicker than my other units (as it is smaller). This unit has 3 ports: standard USB 2.4, 60W USB-C, and quick charge 3.0. The inverter is pure sine-wave so it will work great for sensitive equipment like electronics without surging. The quick charge 3.0 helps charge phones extremely fast. The 60W USB C is extremely fast for charging your USB C devices. Jackery included a 12v cigarette plug silicon cover to prevent dust and dirt from getting inside. The only grip I have is on this model, they changed the location of the display illumination button from the right side to the left side compared to my other 500 unit. I find myself lighting up the screen and then find the DC button on hours later and power depleted from the unit. Muscle memory and this shouldn't be a problem in the future. If you are looking to power a C-pap unit overnight then you should get a 500 unit or 1000. This unit will power a C-pap but only for around 4 hours before its depleted. This unit does not have a flashlight like its big brothers, but that is not a deal breaker. This one does not have an anderson connector for universal charging - you can only use the Jacker solar panel with this unit. This size would be perfect for charging items while camping, doing photo shoots, and during emergencies to power smaller gadgets.

The Jackery Explorer 300 power station is by far, the most perfect, compact-sized, portable power station. A necessity for camping, emergency preparedness, or just something to have around the house/cabin for convenience of power anywhere!

The Explorer 300 is slightly larger than a football and it can easily be packed in a backpack for a day hiking trip. There are also many different outlets and features built in that make it the perfect companion for camping and emergency preparation. There is a USB quick-charge port to help quickly charge your smart phone and also a usb-c power port for newer devices. Those are just two of the neat and convenience features that are built in to the Jackery Explorer 300. It also has two 110v outlets, further expanding what can be plugged into the 300. Let's also not forget to mention that Jackery products are pure sine wave - meaning you can use the Jackery Explorer 300 to power up and charge the most delicate of electronics.

Having a Jackery Portable Power Station can be a life-saver and is a great convenience! For me, the Explorer 300 couldn't have arrived at a more perfect time. In Colorado right now, there seems to be a combination of every season imaginable going on in the month of September.

First our power went out due to the numerous wild fires, but I was luckily able to stay connected to our Wi-Fi and keep my laptop powered up and charged thanks to the Jackery Explorer 300 power supply. After that, the heavy weight from the early wet snow we got the other day also did a number on the power lines, which caused us to lose power once again. The weather has been nuts and I'm thankful that Jackery has been able to help keep our conveniences up and running when the systems are down. Without my Jackery, I would not have been able to keep active in my career during the power outages. The Explorer 300 was able to keep my Wi-Fi running, laptop, and cell phone all charged up and running during an emergency. With the way 2020 has been going, I'll probably be investing in a few more of these Jackery Portable Power Stations and their accessories. One can never be too prepared!

After using the Jackery Explorer 300 daily for four days in the forest, I’ve concluded that it is an IMPRESSIVE UPGRADE over my smaller Jackery Explorer 240.

    UPDATES:
    9-17-2020
1). From 99%, it took only 10 to 15 minutes more to get to 100% when plugged into the 12V DC outlet of my vehicle & the Explorer 1000. More efficient charging than through my gas generator’s AC outlet. Pleasant surprise!

    The GREATS
    1). Faster 12V DC Charging
Immediately after picking it up from the post office, I took it out of the box & plugged it into my vehicle’s 12V DC outlet & charged it during my 4 to 5 hour trip back up the mountains where I’ve been staying since the pandemic. It was at 37% charge capacity when it started charging. After approximately 3 hours and an input of steady 80 watt, it was at 99% charge already(to my pleasant surprise). This is a huge improvement to the Explorer 240 because it would take about 5 hours to get recharged the same capacity. In addition, this is very important to me since I don’t have my solar panel yet and I do a lot of driving exploring a huge forest.

    2). Improved 12V DC Cable
This was my initial BIG complaint when I got my first Jackery, the Explorer 1000. I didn’t get one in my box. Even worse, when I borrowed my friend’s 12V DC cable charger (cause it took a while to get one from Jackery), the PLASTIC TIP that inserts into my vehicle’s 12V DC outlet melted (see photo) after charging the Explorer 1000 through the same 4 to 5 hour trip back up the mountains. I did not experience this problem with the Explorer 300. Although the cable seem the same, the plastic tip DID NOT MELT this time. Imagine my relief.

    3). 293WH Seemed More Efficient
As soon as we got back to our campsite, I immediately unplugged my 70qt car fridge/freezer from the Explorer 1000 & plugged it into the Explorer 300’s 12V DC outlet. I left the Explorer 300 with 99% charge while the fridge was set at 20°F on eco mode (as always). When I checked it in the morning, it was at 50% charge after 9 hours overnight. Usually, the Explorer 240 would be down to 40% or 30% charge and the Explorer 1000 would be down to 60% charge from 100% at the same settings. However, I also have to mention that the first night that I got and used the Explorer 300 was also the first night that the temperature was very cold at 24°F. It most likely helped run the fridge’s compressor less frequent which meant less power demand. I’d know for sure next summer and I’ll give an update here.

4). Recharges My USB Devices Pretty Fast
Although I don’t have a definitive and scientific measurement of how long it takes to recharge my devices: cell phone, tablets and Jackery power banks, I know for sure that the recharge time is appreciatively faster than when I’m using the Explorer 240 to do the same task. Ergo more productivity.

5). Consistent Charging With a Gas Operated Generator
The input was a steady 77 watt from a 120 volt AC outlet of my generator which I prefer to the fluctuating input of 162w to 167w into the Explorer 1000. It’s really no big deal, but I just like it better steady.

    6). Plenty of Safety Features
a). Like the other Explorers, the Explorer 300 also shuts down after 12 hours if a plugged device(s) drawing under 10 watts of power. This happened to me when I plugged my 12V electric fan into the 12V DC outlet drawing only 7 watts of energy. According to Jackery, this is to prevent damage to the lithium ion battery used in the unit. In turn, this feature also helps the unit last longer.
b). Like the Explorer 240, the Explorer 300 does not power or run my 12v DC tire inflator/compressor at high state of charge. During my test, the Explorer 300 was at 86% charge capacity. Even after three times of attempt to power my tire inflator, I had no luck. However, I was able to run the inflator when the Explorer 300 was down to 45% charge. Again, according to Jackery, this is a safety feature.
c). Unlike the Explorer 240 that doesn’t have one, the Explorer 300’s 12v outlet’s rubber cover certainly prevents foreign objects from being inserted. Thus, avoiding electrical accidents or fire.
d). The unit’s design is very safe for children & pets. There are no moving parts or handle that folds down to trap any body part. Moreover, there’s really no paint to chip and swallow. The paint seems to be baked in. There’s also no sharp corners!

    The SHORTS
1). Takes a Long Time to Charge to 100%
Although it’s quick to get to 99%, it took almost an hour to get the last 1% of charge via the 120v AC outlet of my gas operated generator because the input goes down (see photos) as the charge goes up. Bummer!
2). Won’t Run My 12V Tire Inflator at High Charge Capacity
It just doesn’t make sense to an electrically challenged person like me why I can’t power my inflator while the charge capacity of the Explorer 300 is above 50%. This means that if I had a flat tire or I need to inflate my air mattress & rubber boat (at the lake, away from my vehicle’s 12V DC outlet) I have to deplete the charge capacity to 50% or less first from a full charge or never fully charge it.

In the end, the Explorer 300 embodies the same high quality that is a signature of Jackery. Kudos to the Jackery team for producing another top shelf unit that is of great value. I highly recommend this product to everyone. This is especially helpful during this present time of uncertainty.

    Hope this helps.

Campers, nomads, tailgaters, and those of you whom hold the emergency preparedness mindset? This review is for you.

The Jackery Explorer 300. What is it? Some know it as a power station, some know it as a solar generator, and some have no idea nor clue as to what the unit is or how to even utilize it. This review should shed some light on that and get you folks up to speed and in the know in regards to what there is to know about this new Jackery Explorer 300 power station / solar generator.

Portable power generation and storage. The new Jackery Explorer 300 released on September 1st, 2020 of this year is Jackery’s latest and greatest product to hit the off-grid power sector. Their products are used by campers, nomads, tailgaters, and preppers alike. The Jackery power stations are portable power solutions that can be powered or recharged via solar power, automotive 12v DC, AC 110v home / office outlet, or shore power connection from an available external power source at a camp site / RV Park.

Jackery Explorer 300 features the latest and greatest in tech with it’s modern USB-C PD output port, USB-A QC 3.0 output port, addition of a second 110v AC receptacle, and an all new MPPT charge controller built-in to the unit to allow for rapid and sustained high-speed charging, doubling that of the previous Jackery Explorer 160 and Explorer 240 models on the market. Weighing in at only 7lbs, this new Explorer 300 model is the pinnacle of lightweight and portable power! Paired with a Jackery Solar Saga 60 solar panel and you would be sustainable with unlimited green power whilst backpacking / hiking out in the wilderness for days on end.

Power Stations / Solar Generators like the Jackery line of products, specifically the Explorer 300 are perfect for van life nomads like myself whom are not into complicated DIY custom built setups and just want the convenience and robust nature of a simple all in one power station with built in I/O ports that the Jackery Explorer 300 offers. This solution is for the “grab and go” lifestyle and requires no thought or setup whatsoever as the Jackery Explorer 300 is dummy-proof in regards to deployment and using out in the field or in your vehicle.

The industry leading two years manufacturing warranty gives you a peace of mind knowing that Jackery stands behind their products and has you covered in the event you run into any issues. Jackery is based out of California, USA and has an award winning customer support staff on their team to answer any questions or provide you with any product support you may need. All of my interactions with Jackery customer service has been nothing but positive since day one as I am a longtime customer of theirs since 2019, purchasing and owning of their Explorer 500 power station and as well as their Solar Saga 60 solar panel. In fact, I own two of their Explorer 500 power stations, but that’s neither here nor there.

Devices I plan to power or recharge with this specific unit include, but are not limited to; iPhone XR, PlayStation Vita Slim, Nintendo Switch Hybrid v1.0, Razer Blade Stealth 13 | Late 2019 Ultrabook, Insignia 19” 720p TV, Opolar 9” rechargeable fan, Aukey touch lamp, Goal Zero Crush Lantern, HotLogic Mini 110v oven, Alpicool C15 12v compressor refrigerator.

    Included in the package:
    (1) Jackery Explorer 300 Power Station
    (1) Soft zippered pouch to store power cables
    (1) 110v AC wall / shore power adaptor
    (1) 12v DC automotive power cable
    (1) 2 year warranty miniature Jackery card
    (1) User Manual / Quick-Start Guide
    (1) Jackery product satisfaction tree flyer

    Pros:
-Lightweight portable power solution at only 7lbs!
-USB-C PD output port at 60 Watts!
    -USB-A QC 3.0 output port.
-DC 12v output is regulated at 13.3v

-300 Watt / 500 Watt Peak Pure Sine Wave inverter with two receptacles instead of one.
-MPPT charge controller built-in vs the PWM charge controller on Jackery’s older units as well as much cheaper power stations on the market. MPPT allows for significantly faster recharge times.
-Pass-Thru charging! The Jackery Explorer 300 can be recharged and discharged at the same time. Collecting solar power (solar panel sold separately) and using it to your hearts content!
-Robust backlit LCD that contains all pertinent data user may need to know in regards to device power usages, input, output, and operation. Included battery percentage, battery segment visual graph, as well as input and output wattages.

-Warranty! Industry leading 2 years manufacturing warranty with ability to extend 12 additional months via registering your product purchase on Jackery’s website!
-Lifetime Technical Support! Have any questions? Contact Jackery Customer Service Department. They are headquartered out of the United States in the State of California and they will get you taken care of.

    Cons:
-No wide area light / lantern included on the back of the unit like some other power stations on the market in this class include.
-USB-C PD port is output only. Does not accept input for charging.
-No USB-C to USB-C cable included with the package
-DC 12v Automotive Port is only rated at 10A, and is unable to power a Slime 12v automotive tire air compressor.

    Final thoughts:
The Jackery Explorer 300 is a robust piece of kit to own for your camper van / RV, vehicle of choice for tailgating, carry in your backpack for hiking, or store on a shelf at home for emergency preparedness in a grid down scenario. Despite the few shortcomings of the unit that could be addressed by Jackery in future revisions of their power stations, the advantages this lightweight and compact power station offers make it completely a worthwhile investment and I am quite happy with my purchase! I plan to use the Explorer 300 in my 2017 Ram ProMaster City camper van on a daily basis in conjunction with my Jackery Explorer 500 and my Jackery Solar Saga 60 solar panel. I hope to purchase a Jackery Solar Saga 100 solar panel one of these days to perform additional testing with the Explorer 300. I rate the Jackery Explorer 300 a 4.5 / 5 Stars (9/10) rating here on Amazon and I highly recommend purchase of this product should you find yourself wanting or needing off-grid power for whatever reasons you may have. You will not be disappointed. Jackery will guarantee it.

    Jackery 300 - A Modern Necessity

I’m a 100% full time single parent with 2 teens. And with teens you know that means a lot of electronic devices. I need things that work and things that simplify my life. The Jackery 300 has been one of those purchases. It’s not only reliable but really easy to use.

Most power outages are not very long lasting. So, I didn’t want to fool with a generator. I imagined how I’d have to check a generator every month. The maintenance. Wheeling the heavy unit around. Getting & storing fuel. Having enough fuel. Making sure the fuel lasts. Struggling to pull start it. The fumes from running it. The loud noise when it actually does run. Not to mention, an easy thousand plus bucks to buy one. All that seems overwhelming for more than 99% of our needs.

If the power goes out, no stress, we just grab the Jackery. It’s practically silent and light enough to move around by just about anyone. Is the Nintendo Switch low? No problem. Your Chromebook? Want to run the PS4 or Xbox One? No worries. Your phone, watch, tablet - again - zero stress - just plug it in. Wa-la, problems fixed.

It can run fans and a whole host of other devices too - not just your typical tech electronics. During tests, we ran our cable modem / router for many hours to provide WiFi. It accepts regular wall socket type plugs too. Also during our tests, it ran a 55” inch TV along with a PS4 Pro for over 1.5 hours. We even used a disc based game to use even more power. With a smaller screen it’s closer to 2.5 hours. Downloaded games use less power too. The Nintendo Switch uses even less. All that exceeded my expectations. SUPER EASY.

Now let’s talk camping, car trips and other family outings. Again, the Jackery 300 is clutch. There’s no need to be concerned about limited outlets in the car to charge or none available at a park or campsite. If I’m going camping - this will always come with us. How nice to run a fan inside the tent during the summer nights! This will instantly get you “glamping”. Tons of options here.

The Jackery 300 is also fairly compact and lightweight and weighs in right around 7 1/4 pounds. It’s significantly smaller than the size of a small Igloo Playmate Cooler that I have used as a lunchbox for years.

I appreciate that’s it’s powerful but doesn’t take up much space. It’s interface is solid and super easy to understand. All around it’s very intuitive and you can tell everything is very well thought out. It also has you covered with a wide variety of plugs from AC outlet sockets to a car power port to USB-A and the newer USB-C. It even comes with a quality zipper pouch to store your charging cables.

Another thing about Jackery is it’s a widely recognized brand with a proven quality track record. Many no name brands are out there that don’t include the device and circuit protections Jackery units do. The last thing I want to do is buy another power station after frying our expensive electronics. I am a believer that when you buy cheap, you often buy twice. This is the top brand in this category of products. I definitely don’t have time to mess with low quality el cheapo brand units.

Without boring you with detailed specs, the Jackery 300 produces a very clean stream of power - which is exactly what you want. In layman’s terms, it’s a smooth stream without all the peaks, valleys and surges that can harm your devices.

One thing we tend to forget until something happens is what we have on hand for emergencies. This is definitely on my list. If we need to evacuate for any number of reasons (storms, fires, Godzilla - the weirdness of 2020) the Jackery 300 is a must take item.

Those in the Prepper, Bug Out and Emergency Preparedness minded communities should be all about this. It can even be fully recharged in just a few hours with the optional Solar Saga solar panel. It can of course be recharged too by your standard home outlet or even your car - and it doesn’t take forever to do it. It also doesn’t alert everyone far and wide that you have power. That might be handy while in a non permissive environment or even a noise restricted campsite.

In today’s age and with everything going on, this should really be a staple device in our homes. I feel better just knowing it’s on hand. It’s one less thing to worry about.

Lastly, I plan on buying another for my senior citizen mother too. That alone should say a lot!

TLDR: Zero regrets with this purchase. It’s an absolute no-brainer.

I purchased a Jackery Explorer 300 Portable Power Station on 9-1-2020 and it arrived a few days later via FedEX. My decision to purchase the E300 was based on the results of my previous experience with a Jackery E160, E500 and a Jackery E1000. I found the Jackery Power Station to be very useful, easy to use and easy to charge with the Jackery SolarSaga 100W Solar Panel, AC Charger or the Car Port. I use the E300 to power my small electrical devices during the power outages that often occur after storms or traffic accidents in my area. The E1000 will take care of powering my Maytag Refrigerator/Freezer but I needed another power station and I chose one with more capacity than the E160 for some of the longer power outages.

I have tested the E300 with several LED & CFL lights that can be used in table lamps and the best one is a 14W Grt Val 1500 Lum LED 'DayLight' bulb, It draws 20 Watts and the E300 will power it for 12-14 Hours from 100% to 10% battery charge levels. The fan will run part time and is very quite. I place the LED light bulb in a small table lamp and it can be moved as needed. You probably already have LED's in your table lights so just use one of them. I also tested a Philips 11 Watt 1000 Lumens LED light for 6 Hours and the E300 charge level decreased from 90% to 60%. I also tested a 5 Watt Onite 400 Lumens USB LED light for 9 Hours and the charge only changed from 90% to 75%. Any of these three choices are a big improvement over my LED lanterns that start out bright but quickly dim unless you run them on low power. As a result of purchasing the E300 I have retired several of my D-Cell LED lanterns that were being used for the power outages and replaced them with table lamps, rechargeable LED Lights and flashlights with rechargeable AA & AAA batteries.

I have a UPS to protect my desktop computer that gives me 20 minutes of runtime in a blackout but if I plug the UPS with the connected computer into my E300 I can extend the operating time at least two more hours. My internet also provides my telephone service and the U-Verse modem needs power or I lose telephone service. The Power Lift Chair can operate from the E300. The "Merlin@Home" Transmitter needs power to send pacemaker data and worked just fine when tested.

I like having more than one power station because I won't need extension cords for each device that I want to power and that also lets me place then in different parts of the house. The E300 has some new features that were not on the E240. The AC Inverter is now 300 Watts (pure sine wave), the 13.3 Volt regulated car port output has a nice cover and the USB output has 60W PD USB-C, QC3.0 USB-A, USB type A port (2.4A). The MPPT charger provides faster charge rates from solar (5.5H), AC (4.5H) and from a car port (5H).

An important feature of the Jackery Explorer 300 is the pass through charging can be used to supply power continuously to a critical load by charging the E300 from the DC Carport on another Jackery Explorer. If the load on the E300 is 75 Watts or less the E300 will stay almost fully charged. The Jackery (E1000, E500, E440, HLS290, E240 or E160) can supply power until their battery is exhausted. This method will allow you to keep the E300 in a critical place without the need to move it outside to recharge by a Solar Panel or Generator. The other Jackery Explorer unit can then be moved and recharged as needed. The DC charging cable you will need is supplied with the Jackery Explorer 300.

The E300 is much more useful than just for power outages and I am discovering more uses every day. The E300 provided power when the wife needed a heating pad while setting in a wheel chair a few days ago. I have a solid state Oscilloscope that the Jackery E300 can power for several hours and that makes one of my best pieces of test equipment truly portable. The E160 and the E300 are used to provide power for my Ham Radio equipment when operating at temporary locations.

Two things that would help with my Ham Radio Equipment is the addition of Anderson PowerPole connectors on the DC input and DC output. This would help when charging the E300 and powering my radio equipment from the E300. The ability to turn off the "Auto-power off feature when the draw is under 10 watts" would really be handy. This feature is great for saving the battery but not so good when powering tranceivers that are monitoring an emergency radio frequency. You just might miss your call.

For maximum battery power, charge Lithium-ion Batteries every 6 months to compensate for the self discharge and for longer life, charge before going below the 20% charge level.

The Jackery Explorer 300 is well worth the price and is expected to provide excellent service for many years.

Here are some photos of just a few of the items that the E300 can power.
Jackery Explorer 300 Waveform; Heating Pad on Wheelchair; AA & AAA Battery Chargers; Rechargeable lights; Ham Radio Equipment; Jackery Explorer 300 with accessories; AC, DC & USB fans; Solar Charging in Morning Sun; Power lift Chair; Oscilloscope; AC, DC & USB Powered Lights

I own the Jackery Explorer 240 and the 1000 models and have had great results with them, so I figured the new Explorer 300 would be an excellent power station too. It is interesting to note that the 240 and the 300 models are the exact same size (i.e. for a case or other needs). I tested the 12v outlet to see if it had regulated voltage output and when the battery was at 44% SOC (state of charge), the power was at 13.49 volts, so yes, it is regulated. This means it can run many electronics longer because they will not shut off due to low voltage. Using a Kill A Watt meter to monitor the Jackery 300 while powering it through the AC plug (inverter) it shows that this power station produced 248Wh which is about an 85% efficiency rating (this is from none professional equipment). The meter also showed that it produced 110.5 volts at 60.3 Hz. This Jackery also has a MPPT solar controller for more efficient charging, and charge times have greatly been reduced from the previous models. I did a test and charged both my 240 and my 300 from 10% SOC and it took 6 hours and 42 minutes for the 240, and only 4 hours and 7 minutes for the 300. This is well in the range of a total of 4.5 hour to fully charge the 300 as advertised by Jackery. Extrapolating the 240 to the same watt hours of the 300 I estimate it would take about 8 hours and 20 minutes to charge it. The 300 charged at an input of 76 watts at the start, and the 240 charged at an input of 39 watts at the start based on the display. It also has a Pure Sine Wave inverter for a cleaner energy supply unlike some other power stations. Cables are much better quality and are longer than the original Explorer 240 (7’ for the 300 vs 3.5’ for the 240). Jackerys are also known for their superior build quality, see below*.

There are three things I would like changed in the Jackery 300, but they are very minor. I prefer a square or rectangular shape for efficient storage in my small Class B RV. I would also like earth tone colors for better stealth (I don’t need people knowing what I own and where to find it while I am camping). The Jackerys all have an orange coloring on them making them more visible than I like. The more important thing I would want to make the 300 a better unit is to have a typical charging port on it instead of the 8mm connection, such as an Anderson connection like the Jackery Explorer 1000 comes standard with.

    Pros:
    • Superior build quality*
    • MPPT controller
    • Pure Sine Wave 300 watt inverter (500 watt surge)
    • Quicker re- charge than past models (2x per my test)
    • Regulated 12 Volt outlet (at 13.5 volts)
    • Excellent Display showing % good, input & output wattage
    • Only 7 pounds

    Neutrals:
    • 500 charge cycles to 80% capacity (I prefer LiFePO4 chemistry)

    Cons (minor):
    • Shape (I prefer square or rectangular)
    • Bright Orange Color (I prefer neutral or stealth colors)
    • I wish for a more common charging port such as an Anderson connector

    Features:
    • 293Wh Lithium Battery
    • Pure Sign Wave 300 watt inverter (500 W surge)
    • MPPT Solar Controller
    • Regulated 12 volt output 10A w/cover (cigarette plug)
    • Two AC outlets
    • Quick charge capability
    • Display with watts in/out & battery percent good
    • USB-C 60W
    • USB-A 3.0 Quick Charge
    • USB-A 5v, 2.4A
    • 8mm Input connector
    • Individual on/off buttons
    • Plastic Case
    • Rubberized feet

    Included in the box:
    • Warranty card
    • Manual
    • A small register card
    • Case for cables
    • AC Adaptor in 2 parts
    • Car Charger Cable for cigarette plug
    • Jackery Explorer 300 Power Station

*There is an interesting video on YouTube where Will Prowse cut opened a Jackery and checked its interior built quality. This man is very knowledgeable with batteries and solar systems, check out his many video reviews. He found the Jackery to be extremely well designed with large gauge wires, quality soldered circuit boards, what appeared to be a superior BMS etc. He has looked at many other power stations and none were constructed quite as well. This video alone convinced me to purchase my first Jackery.

As an owner of several Jackery Explorers already (160, 240 and 1000) I was excited to see them offering the new Explorer 300. I do a lot of camping and nature photography during which I use these devices to power various pieces of equipment (cameras, lights, refrigerator, etc.). Immediately, I was impressed by the size of the Explorer 300 as well as the quick charging time. That is, it took only a couple of hours using AC to bring it from 38% to 100% and then when I tried using my Jackery solar panels it recharged in almost the same amount of time – that was a big surprise. With two 120 volt outlets I no longer have to use a power strip to connect multiple AC accessories. As my camper is rather small the fewer cables and connectors I have to bring along the better.

My first use of the Explorer 300 occurred the weekend I received it when I used it on a camping trip in the local mountains. I used the Explorer 1000 exclusively for powering my refrigerator and the 300 for everything else. The 300 proved more than adequate for handling my lighting, laptop, mobile phone, fan, video camera, etc. and the following day it required only a couple hours to recharge using my Jackery solar panels. This represented a big advantage over my prior approach, because once the device was charged I could secure all my equipment inside my camper and go about my planned activities. As with my other Jackery products, the 300 is durable, well laid out and functions flawlessly. The Explorer 300 will now be my go-to power supply for all camping photography excursions, as it provides the optimum in power, flexibility, reliability and ease of use. Coupled with its small size and durability it has proven to be ideal for my needs and I could not be more pleased.
