Los alimentos quedan muy bien cocinados.
La recomiendo totalmente.
Understand what 3qts is before you buy it, it’s not big but not tiny. I feed three with it just fine. It comes to pressure slower than a manual pressure cooker and doesn’t slow cook as well as a CrockPot. I have a zojirushi for rice so don’t use that. I use sear and pressure cooker and it works perfectly for that.
So far it’s easy to use and clean and seems built very well.
I just had my Instant Pot delivered! It came very well packaged, very impressive at how well it was nestled into it's box and now I'm reading all the directions. Also there are a couple YouTube host's with tips for new owner/users. One in particular I am now subscribing to with great tips for new users and a bevy of recipes that I'm looking forward to tying. I will up date this review as I begin to gain experience with it's use and will try to share my journey in culinary arts with my new pressure cooker. ☺️
Our first meal was beef neck bones. I set the timer for 3 hours and when it was done the meat fell off the bones while scooping them out. The next night I cooked more neck bones and reduced the time to 2.75 hours and the meat still fell off the bones so cooking various meals will take some experimentation with the time.
When the time you set finishes, it will take awhile for the steam to release before you can safely remove the cover. The default setting is for the cooker to stay on "keep warm" setting. This will prolong the time it needs to cool and vent so I unplugged it when the timer finished. The time it takes to cool down and vent by itself will vary so that should be taken into account if you want your meal ready by a specific time. Bottom line: consider adding 30 minutes + or - for the pressure cooker to vent. If you're not using the pressure cooker mode this won't impact you.
The pot is a heavy gauge stainless steel and the instructions warn you not to fill it more than 2/3 high. It has a ~ 34" SJT rated (water/oil resistant) heavy duty detachable power cord vs. the standard 24" appliance cord which is nice.
The instruction booklet details how to operate it.
Here’s my method:
1. Boil the milk using the Instant Pot.
2. Open the lid and let it cool down to 100–112°F.
3. Add 2–3 spoons of yogurt as a starter for the best results.
4. Press the yogurt button again and set the timer for 6 hours.
The result is thick, delicious yogurt every time. I’ve completely stopped buying store-bought yogurt since using the Instant Pot! If you’re on the fence, this is a game-changer for yogurt lovers.
I'm not much of a cook...and I don't cook very often, but now I feel like I'm a cross between Wolfgang Puck and Chef Gordon Ramsey! So far I've made beef stew, lemon pepper chicken, St Louis style spare ribs and my last masterpiece was BBQ baby back ribs. If you like fall off the bone ribs like I do, then this is your secret weapon! Only takes about an hour with prep and your dinner guests will think you've slow cooked those ribs all day. Just marinate the ribs for a couple hours in your favorite BBQ sauce, I like Bulls Eye, 1 1/2 cup beef broth or water, and pressure cook for 40 minutes on high pressure. Be careful to remove the ribs, they will be falling apart, baste with more BBQ sauce, then grill them on a BBQ or under the broiler at 450 degrees until nice and brown! See photo's...
This pressure cooker makes great meals fast! I really like the sauté function because you can make the whole meal in one pot with less clean up. With most pressure cooker recipes just sauté onions and fresh garlic on normal sauté setting and remove from pot, then throw your meat in and brown it in the pot, add back in the onions, broth or water, seasonings and put the veges on top (put whole carrots and half cut potatoes because if you cut the veges up into small pieces, they will overcook). Press Meat/Stew and go with the default (high pressure) and default time. Do a natural pressure release (I put a wet kitchen towel over the top of the cooker for about 8 to 10 minutes to speed up the cooling) then release the rest of pressure with the steam release knob.
All and all, I am very pleased with the Instant Pot. The stainless steel 6 qt. pot is heavy and durable and cleanup is easy just make sure to remove the silicone seal and wash after ever meal. Also make sure the seal is on properly, it should spin inside the lid if properly fit. Do a search on the internet for pressure cooking recipes and just follow and experiment with different recipes, you'll be amazed! I hope this review helped make your decision easier like some of the other Instant Pot reviews, you won’t be disappointed with this purchase!
